About
A Piece of Coal was part of a project consisting of 8 short films, called Mining the Memories. All the films were written by South Yorkshire residents, who experienced the miner's strike of 1984 - 1985. A Piece of Coal was written by Jane Walton, and directed by me. The film premiered at the Leeds International Film Festival in 2016.
