About

Hello!

I am a Dutch filmmaker based in Liverpool, UK. After finishing my BA in Audiovisual Media at the Utrecht School of the Arts, I continued to do my MA in Filmmaking at the Northern Film School in Leeds, where I graduated in 2015 with a distinction. I focussed on both directing and producing and worked on many projects both inside and outside of the Film School.

Throughout the years I directed and produced various short films and I produced two features directed by Gabrielle Russell. The films I directed and produced have been shown at more than 50 festivals worldwide and won numerous awards. You can check out the films here.

Alongside filmmaking, I am very passionate about the environment and sustainable filmmaking. This is why a few years ago I set up Green Film Productions, which focusses on producing creative content and caring for our earth at the same time. As part of Green Film Productions I started an art collective called Girls With Capes, which celebrates work by female and non-binary artists. As part of Girls with Capes, we are creating a web series consisting of short stories created by different writers and directors in various formats.

Another issue I am very passionate about is wellbeing, mental health and advocacy. This is why I’ve started training in intimacy coordination and as a wellbeing facilitator. For more information, you can check out my qualifications here.

I am currently working as a freelancer in the film industry as well as directing / producing independent projects. I’m always open for new challenges in the field of film and TV. Feel free to contact me for more information.
